A rose by any other name….

A rose by any other name….

I wanted to let you know the thrilling news…Thompson and Morgan are going to name a rose CAROLINE QUENTIN!

Keep your eyes open for the Sparsholt College Stand at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show… its launching there and I went to go and visit it myself today for the big launch.

It’s so lovely; a proper candy pink and it's sweetly scented too, I’m delighted to say.

It's been inspired by my lifelong love of gardening; it's romantic, artistic and deeply connected to the joy I get from being outside. To think that this gorgeous rose will carry my name into the future is incredibly moving and such an honour.

Even more wonderful, for every rose sold, £1* will be donated directly to St Peter's Hospice in Bristol.  I’ve been a long-time supporter of this wonderful organisation. St Peter's play such an important role in the lives of so many; helping to fund vital care and supporting individuals and families facing life-limiting illness.

I had such a fabulous day at RHS Chelsea today - getting inspiration for my next garden projects and really just admiring all the work that goes into creating these absolute visions. Are you going to the Chelsea Flower Show? Do go and visit my rose if you are!

You can find out more about (and purchase) the Caroline Quentin rose here.

And this is St Peter's Hospice if you wanted to read more about the incredible work they do.

*Full price sales of roses are eligible for the donation to St Peter’s Hospice. Discounted or promotional sales are excluded from this contribution.

PS Will you be painting your rose?!
    Perhaps a rose tote?

    Dear Caroline,
How wonderful that you have a rose named after you!
And an appropriately delightful one at that.
I wanted to tell you that my step-mother, Carol, was in St, Peter’s Hospice in Bristol for her last weeks after battling cancer for some years.
The staff there were so caring and my dad even got to take the dog in for cuddles and stay there himself near the end.
It is also very close to where I lived and went to school.
I’m so thrilled that you’ve chosen this charity and I’ll definitely be buying ‘your’ rose to remind me of Carol. She was a keen gardener and loved her roses so it’s very fitting.
Congratulations and keep sharing your garden adventures!
